A other scam report.

What happened

An other scam involving cryptocurrency was reported on 15 September 2026. Suspected fraud by crypto-funded payment card reseller cardupnow.com. I purchased a card and funded the service using USDC on Ethereum in September 2026. My funding transaction is 0x227f852e861ba9c92e1923caa3bf31da76c3ad920f94d5759c70dbf48de4d24b. The recipient was 0x9153eea75fd9e4a06de6a14e7b63b441565f1de8. This identifies the payment destination, not a verified individual owner. Loss estimate: I believe approximately USD 1,350 is lost, representing my total funding. This is my estimate, not a reconciled net loss: some legitimate card payments occurred and the platform displays a residual balance. The amount ultimately recoverable remains to be established. CardUpNow’s ledger shows seven USD 72.84 Google charges across 13–14 September and a further USD 630.20 Google charge on 15 September, all labelled Settled, leaving USD 41.86. In contrast, my Google billing records show total payments of CZK 1,700, and explicitly show a CZK 13,000 payment attempt on 15 September as declined for insufficient funds, with zero credited. The USD 630.20 entry may correspond to that failed attempt; issuer records are needed to establish the match and distinguish actual settlements from holds, reversals or false ledger entries. The repeated entries also require reconciliation. I repeatedly provided the reseller with screenshots showing these discrepancies. Support insisted the history was correct and attributed the deductions to automatic Google billing without providing a transaction-level reconciliation. Support also manually relayed card authentication codes. I suspect the reseller is deducting funds for unsuccessful or duplicated payment attempts. This is a suspected-fraud report; the precise mechanism and operator identity have not been independently established. Some genuine Google payments did occur. I am submitting this to document the website and payment destination and alert others. My contact preferences are provided privately in the form.
