What happened

A blackmail scam involving cryptocurrency was reported on 16 September 2026. 16 Sep 2026 06:47:35UTC: scammer contacted us by e-mail impersonating us (sending from our own domain) with threatening content (e.g. blackmail, sextortion, ...) demanding payment to bitcoin address below Mail originating from IP: 84.240.228.102 (abuse report also sent to: abuse@telecom.kz) Mail Subject: YOU GOT RECORDED! First up to 512 characters of mail body: Hi! Unfortunately there is some bad news for you. Some time ago, your device was infected with my private Trojan, R.A.T. (Remote Administration Tool). If you want to find out more about it, simply use Google. My Trojan allowed me to access your files, accounts, and your camera. Check the sender of this email - I have sent it from your email account! I RECORDED YOU (through your camera) MASTURBATING! If you still doubt my serious intentions, it only takes a couple of mouse clicks to share the video of Wallet addresses linked to this report: bitcoin: 16pQ54sHsqQrUR2nYQsf2r7g93nwc37k2j Do not send money or cryptocurrency to anyone connected to this report. If you have already paid, contact your bank or exchange and report the incident to your national fraud authority.
