Bill's Garage Door scam

/25/26 – Garage Door Spring Broke 8/26/26 – Called Bill’s Garage Door – 301-753-3342 - Was given an appointment of 6:00PM - 6PM – Tech arrived and stated that he could replace Garage Spring for about $500 - 6:30PM – Tech stated that the job would need an additional $400 for rollers to complete - 7PM – Job Completed and Garage Door worked successfully - Total Cost would be $1,155 - Paid with VISA card - Requested paper invoice or email with link to invoice from Tech 8/27/26 – Entered Garage and opened Garage Door - Left Garage but Garage Door would not close - Cleaned Garage Door “Laser Obstruction Light” and attempted several times - Called Bill’s Garage Door – 301-753-3342 - Thinking that this was the main office, Requested a paper copy or email with link to my original invoice - 7PM – Different Tech arrived and reviewed stating that the Garage Door needed additional pulleys and wiring for an additional $250 - 7:30PM – Tech completed and provided a hard luck story that he was doing this work on his own time and that he was not being compensated for his efforts and asked for $60 cash - Paid $222.80 with VISA card and Gave him the $60 - 7:30PM – Job completed and Garage Door worked successfully 8/28/26 – Entered Garage and opened Garage Door - Left Garage but Garage Door would not close - Again cleaned Garage Door “Laser Obstruction Light” and attempted several times - Called Bill’s Garage Door – 301-753-3342 - Asked again when she would send me an email with the link to my original invoice - Since the service was not completed satisfactorily twice, Asked to speak to a manager - Was told that she would have the manager call me - 6:30PM – Manager called and stated that she wanted to get things corrected; however, she could not schedule me until Monday (8/31/26) between 10AM and 12PM - Manager promised to send out both invoices via an email immediately 8/31/26 - Since I did not receive the invoices by Monday morning, I called at 9:30AM to check whether I was scheduled - When I was told that I was not on their schedule, I told her to contact her manager to cancel my schedule 9/1/26 – My daughter-in-law contacted Bill’s Garage Door – 301-753-3342 and requested the invoices by 12:00PM - I received only the second invoice (for $222.80) but did not receive the first invoice (for $1,155) 9/15/26 - Garage Door still not working... Called another merchant for repair service.
