California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates scam

A healthcare/medicaid/medicare scam report, targeting a consumer in Torrance, CA, USA - 90503.

Narrative evidence

What happened

I received two text messages asking for me to pay medical imaging bills. I deleted the first one. When I received the same text message, I reached out to the company (California Advanced Imaging Medical Associates) via their website (https://caimarad.com/services/) and called their billing phone number: (800) 295-2131. When a representative answered my call, they asked for my account number, which I did not have, so they asked for my DOB and name. The call quickly dropped, and this is when I realized that the company may be fraudulent. I did have an x-ray done recently, so I assumed this bill was regarding that imaging service.
