What happened

On Aug. 9, 2026, a Corrections Officer named Lt Keith Peek from the Civil Service Division with the GRAYSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE in Sherman, TX; impersonating a public servant. This individual was requesting $1500 to release a family member from jail. On Sept., 13, 2026, a man called me claiming to be an employee from the same Sheriff's Office, who works in the Pretrial Division. He was requesting $1500 from me to release my family member to avoid going to prison. I contacted the Sheriff's office and spoke with an officer who stated this was a scam. Numerous people have reported this.
