Priority First Insurance (may be impersonating, don't know) scam

A phishing scam report, targeting a consumer in Wilkes Barre, PA, USA - 18702.

Narrative evidence

What happened

Junk call to number on Do Not Call list, at best. I received a call on my cell phone asking if this was Megan, and if this was a good number for Megan. When I said no, it said "This call will now be terminated." Then I got an onslaught of calls from numbers I did not recognize. 5703256142 was among them, and I hadn't answered it. I suspected it to be in the same group of junk callers, though, and called back to make sure they weren't spoofing somebody else's number. They identified themselves as Trusty Oak Insurance and Priority First Insurance, depending on the number I called back. (I think that is the name). In all cases, I called these numbers back to make sure they were not spoofing somebody else's number. They did not ask for money. One, however, said they were calling about an insurance application I filed with them. I did not file any insurance applications with the named companies. 5703535553 Priority Insurance 5703535465 Trusty Oak Insurance 5703256142 Priority First Insurance 5703535463 Trusty Oak Insurance 5703535473 Trusty Oak Insurance
