Satellite homes scam

A debt collections scam report, targeting a consumer in CO, USA - 80911.

Narrative evidence

What happened

This guy Joe Houge came by trying to sell a/c’s to us, and his prices were really low. Anyways, too low. So I started checking around, and it looks like it is a definite scammer. His business card does not give a working website, just a page that does not work anymore. There are no office #’s to be found, just a cell. When you look him up on google, he does not come up in Denver (like most company owners would). On facebook, it looks like he has about 100 friends, all like robots. He is also selling used tires. He does come up as owning a company a long time ago, but not this one. The company name on his business card is “satellite homes,” which looks like they sell modular homes or something. He stated he needs half before the work even begins. He also insists on having some immediately. He uses a square reader or will take checks.
